Discipling Tip of the Week

Discipling Tip of the Week

How does God make His people grow?  Through His other people!

You get an illustration of this in Acts, chapter 9.  Here’s verse 1:

“Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the Lord's disciples.”

And here’s verse 20:

“At once he began to preach in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.”

Wo!  What on earth happened to Saul that so turned him around 180 degrees?

Saul had started out on a trip to persecute Christians when the Lord Jesus Himself intercepted him, confronted him with what he was doing, blinded him, and had him led by the hand to Damascus, where a certain man named Ananias would restore his sight.

This former big shot Saul was made completely helpless, and as a brand new baby brother in Christ was put in the hands of big brother Ananias, who gave him back his eyesight and then discipled him until he was ready to pass on the Good News to others!

God uses people to grow people.  Are you a tool in His hand to be another obedient Ananias?
